Wilmslow Care Home Consultation

The public consultation has now closed on this project. Thank you to everyone who took the time to find out and comment on the project in person and online.

We received a total of 49 responses in person and online. Of those providing a view 33% were in support, 41% uncertain and 27% opposed. For those in support the main points were the positive reuse of the site, appearance and scale of the buildings.

The most common issues for those uncertain about the proposals related to the level of parking provision and traffic generation, and how specifically how temporary construction traffic would be handled. These two matters were also the main reasons cited by those against the proposals, with several respondents raising additional concern on the need for another care home locally.

All responses received will be considered and reviewed.

At this time the proposals on the proposed care home have been paused.
